Why are white parts more expensive than black?
It is more difficult to paint something white than it is to paint it black. Any imperfection will show through the white. combined with a lower demand for white parts means they cost a little more. because they are popular and thus sold at a premium. supply and demand.

So many people prefer black or something that doesn't stand out that only few components are made in white and thus have an inflated price.
